What are Codex skills?

A skill is a written playbook (a SKILL.md file) that lives in Codex's skills directory. It tells Codex how to do one job beautifully — a pitch deck, a landing page, a resume. When your request matches, Codex reads the playbook and follows it, instead of improvising from scratch.

Where do skills install for Codex?
Into your skills directory: ~/.agents/skills/ — the skill folder must contain SKILL.md at its top level. Our one-line installer on each skill page does this for you automatically.
Will Codex use the skill on its own?
Yes. Once installed, Codex reads the skill when your request matches what it does — like reaching for the right tool without being told.
Do I need to restart Codex after installing?
Yes — restart the session once so it picks up the new skill directory.
