Servo Motor Control
Motors · Board: Pi Pico · Day 34 of 100
Position a servo precisely with PWM from the Pico 2W. The actuator behind robot arms and animatronics.

How it works
The Pico 2W emits a 50 Hz PWM signal whose pulse width encodes the target angle — roughly one millisecond for one end, two for the other. The servo's internal controller drives its motor to that position and holds it against load. Precise angular positioning from a single wire.
What you'll learn
- Servo control signals
- Pulse-width to angle mapping
- Holding torque concept
- Servo power requirements
