Rain Sensor Monitor
Sensors · Board: ESP8266 · Day 29 of 100
Detect rainfall intensity through analog readings on the ESP8266. Weather-aware automation starts here.

How it works
Raindrops landing on the sensor board lower its surface resistance, which shows up as a changing analog voltage. The ESP8266 samples it continuously and reports rainfall intensity in bands from dry to pouring. Simple physics, immediately useful for weather-aware automation.
What you'll learn
- Analog rain intensity
- Rain board operation
- Intensity banding
- Weather-triggered automation
