Mini Weather Station
Sensors · Board: ESP8266 · Day 5 of 100
An ESP8266 pairs a DHT11 with a 16x2 I2C LCD to show temperature and humidity at a glance. Compact build combining sensor reading with character display wiring.

How it works
The ESP8266 polls the DHT11 for temperature and humidity every couple of seconds, then writes the values to a 16x2 character LCD over the I2C bus. The display updates in place, giving you a glanceable station with no phone or PC involved.
What you'll learn
- I2C bus communication
- Sensor polling intervals
- Character LCD addressing
- Standalone instrument design
