IR Object Detector
Sensors · Board: ESP8266 · Day 20 of 100
An IR sensor spots nearby objects and triggers an LED and buzzer on the ESP8266. Proximity sensing for automation and robotics.

How it works
The IR sensor shines invisible infrared light and watches for the reflection. When an object moves close enough, reflected light trips the sensor's output, and the ESP8266 answers by lighting the LED and sounding the buzzer together. It is proximity detection with no physical contact.
What you'll learn
- IR reflective sensing
- Proximity vs break-beam
- Multi-output alerts
