Entry Exit Counter
Smart Home · Board: ESP32 · Day 70 of 100
Two IR sensors count people entering and exiting, with Telegram alerts on the ESP32. Bidirectional foot-traffic sensing.

How it works
Two IR beams sit a short distance apart in a doorway. Breaking beam A then beam B means someone walked in; B then A means they walked out. The ESP32 tracks the sequence, keeps a running occupancy count, and pings Telegram when it matters. Direction from order, not from magic.
What you'll learn
- Directional beam sensing
- Sequence-based detection
- Occupancy counting
- Event notifications via Telegram
