Search rentals and book apartment tours in a chat assistant
A how-to describes using Zillow Rentals inside Gemini and ChatGPT to get filtered live listings and book a tour time; it is a guide, not a completed tour.
- What They Did
- Kim Komando explains how to switch on the Zillow connected app in Gemini (Settings, Personal Intelligence, Connected Apps) or ChatGPT (Plugins directory, then @Zillow). You describe the rental in plain language, such as bedrooms, budget, city and amenities. The assistant returns live filtered listings. In Gemini you can book a tour in the chat. ChatGPT sends you to Zillow to finish scheduling.
- How It Went
- It's a how-to, not a completed tour, so no results are reported. Gemini books tours inside the chat, while ChatGPT hands off to Zillow for the last step. The rollout is gradual, so Zillow may not appear yet.
- Worth Knowing
- Zillow sees what you search, and listings go stale fast, so confirm a unit is still available before planning a tour. It's free and US only.
Try it yourself with Gemini
Search live rental listings in [city or neighborhood] with a budget of [max rent], [bedrooms] bedrooms, and must-haves of [pets, parking, laundry, etc.]. Give me the best five with price, address, and a link, then propose tour times on [days I'm free] for my top two. Before booking any tour or submitting my contact details, pause and show me what you're about to send.
