Cancel and refund subscriptions by searching email and calling
Grok Bot read email across two accounts, logged into systems, phoned providers and sent emails, cancelling and refunding two long-pending subscriptions in about ten minutes.
- What They Did
- The author had tried for months to cancel two subscriptions, and Claude got close but stalled on the last step. He gave the same task to Grok Bot on his personal devices. It read years of email across two accounts, logged into systems, phoned a couple of providers using a bot that places calls from his number, and sent a few emails.
- How It Went
- About ten minutes later both subscriptions were cancelled and refunded. The author doesn't give the refund amounts.
- Worth Knowing
- He gave the agent access to all his personal data and calls that risky. Logins and 2FA still needed him at least once, and he says enterprise use is a different risk question.

Search my email accounts [email 1, email 2] for charges or sign-up messages from [service or subscription name], then work out how to cancel it and request a refund for [amount or period]. Walk me through the cancel and refund steps, and pause and show me before you submit any form, send any email or confirm any cancellation. You're done when I've confirmed the cancellation and refund request, and you've given me a summary of what was sent.
