Book a restaurant table with Alexa+
A reviewer asked Alexa+ to book a sushi restaurant, but it couldn't because the restaurant isn't on OpenTable; he also tried booking an Uber.
- What They Did
- Jason Del Rey, in early access to the Alexa+ beta on an Echo Show, asked it by voice to book a table for him and his wife at a new local sushi restaurant. He also asked it to order an Uber, which required him to grant access to his Uber account.
- How It Went
- The booking failed. The restaurant uses Resy rather than OpenTable, which is Alexa+'s only reservation partner, so Alexa+ just gave him the phone number. The Uber order worked seamlessly.
- Worth Knowing
- Reservations only work at OpenTable restaurants. Uber needs you to link your account first.
