Answer questions from uploaded documents and school emails

In an Amazon demo, Alexa+ answers questions from an uploaded recipe or HOA document and summarizes forwarded school emails into the calendar.

What They Did

At Amazon's Devices & Services event, Mara Segal, director of Alexa, demonstrated sharing documents with Alexa+ so it could recall details from them. She asked how much oil was in grandma's zucchini bread recipe, which had been uploaded earlier. The article also says users can upload HOA guidelines and ask questions, or forward several school emails for Alexa+ to summarize and help manage the calendar.

How It Went

In the demo, Alexa+ pulled the oil amount from the uploaded recipe. The article gives no testing results, accuracy figures or timing, and the HOA and email examples are described rather than shown.

Worth Knowing

This is a stage demo, not a hands-on test, so the article gives no information on cost, availability, or how reliable it is on long or messy documents.
